For the uninitiated Tsujiri is a 155 year old heritage tea brand established way back in 1860. Their matcha (green tea) has a cult status amongst the tea connoisseurs. The brand was founded by Riemon Tsurji who sought to improve Japan’s tea industry through innovative ways of enhancing the flavors and sweetness of green tea and what resulted is Tsujiri’s high-quality Gyokuro tea leaves and creative storage techniques result in vitamin-rich tea that is believed to promote anti-aging.
Now the iconic tea brand is a global chain with their outlets spotting many cities, the latest to get their aroma would be housed at Ayana Resort and Spa, Bali and with it the Japanese Match brand enters the Indonesian shores. Naturally, it’ll be dedicated to all things green tea; but the menu would also include items such as soft-serve sundaes, chiffon cakes, milk tea floats, cappuccino and other desserts that would be serving at AYANA’s Damar Terrace restaurant starting in November.
Tsujiri’s matcha tea brims with antioxidants and vitamins A, C, E and Beta Carotene, as well as Catechin, which plays a role in burning calories. Every day, from 11am to 1pm, Damar Terrace will present an exquisite menu of Tsujiri specialty products including O-matcha, iced and hot teas, lattes, floats, soft ice cream, and shaved ice.
The restaurant offers a relaxing ambience to enjoy the tea and also will be selling take-home items such as O-matcha powder and various blends of tea bags to its guests.
