Black Til Laddu – Visual recipe

This is a simple, easy to make , healthy traditional snack made with black sesame seeds ( black til seeds) . In Tamil the dish is called Ellu urundai.

Ingredients:

  • Black Til (black sesame seeds)
  • Jaggery

Step 1: Roast the til (sesame seeds) in low flame till they crackle.

Step-1

Step 2: Grind the roasted til in mixie grinder  to make a powder. Add shredded jaggery to it and grind again. You will get the final mix like how its shown in the picture below.

Step-2

Step 3: Make balls  with the mixture. Your delicious black til laddu is ready to eat.

    Wow! A simple dish, ready in minutes!!
    Isn’t there any need of ghee while roasting?

      No Shilpa no need of adding ghee while roasting . It is dry roasted.

    these laddus are not a regular at my home but they are made without fail on makar sankranti every year… on makar sankranti this stuff becomes like omnipresent at my place… anywhere u go u get to eat till ke laddu, not that i mind though :)
