Few days back you would have seen no updates in GingerChai for couple of days. I had been to Modern India’s Land of statues – Uttar Pradesh. Chetan Bhagat went ahead with 2 states: Story of my marriage before I penned my 2 states story. Well, All izz well! Every story is unique, may be one day I will also publish a book on my story that explains how I became दामाद daamaad of a family in Maya’s land. I don’t mind giving the rights to Amir Khan to make a 2 Idiots movie out of my marriage story. (but Mr.Khan I need credits in the start ok?) Most of my co-passengers where fully decked up in woolens and I was donned in cottons and half-sleeves. When I landed up in Delhi Airport on time, thanks to the afternoon flight, I was greeted by pleasant sun. I grinned at my wife and told her I could have come even in shorts. On the drive to home , my father-in-law asked me wear sweater. Bindaas! I told it’s not that cold. After a while, the air turned bit colder. My wife nudged me and I took the signal and wore the sweater like an obedient husband. By the time, I reached home, I was in need of a hankie to damage-control my running nose. Next couple of days I stayed there decked with woolens, monkey caps, shawls, socks and fighting a nasty cold with antibiotics. Back to Bangalore now, I have recovered almost completely.
So lessons learnt?
Always have a couple of back-up articles in your draft section.
When you plan a move for couple of days and not have access to net, preset post publish dates. (if you are a regular, systematic blogger, else don’t mind)
Don’t post in a hurry. When I was down with fever, I did try to publish a few posts but luckily it remained in draft. When I had a look at it now I was happy that it stayed there.
Yet another important lesson learnt…
Health is wealth – We all know it but most of us allow our lifestyle to ignore it. My wife often taunts me sarcastically “Yoga mat kero, Pranayam mat kero, Time se mat utho, Time se mat sona, apne health se dhyaan mat dena” (Don’t do yoga, don’t do pranayam, don’t wake up in time, Don’t sleep in time, don’t take care of your health” Her words rings in me whenever I am down with cold and cough and during that time I would make an instant resolution to take control of my health. But resolutions are forgotten once aal izz well. This time, I am determined to take control of my procrastination and increase my stamina and immunity. Let’s see.
Aal Izz Well, that endz well!

Hope you get well soon.
