So last week Dance India Dance Season 2 shortlisted its 18 final contestants. Now the real show starts.
The show enters the kingdom of Mithun da, he will be the grandmaster of the show. The other 3 masters being Remo D’Souza, Geeta Kapur and Terrence Lewis.
First to perform was Kishore, Teena and Shruti from Geeta ki Gang. Geeta had selected Disco as their theme and they danced for the song “Koi Yahan” from the movie Disco dancer. Performance was good
Next to perform was Terrence Ki Toli’s Kruti & Vandana. The theme they took was old school Jass and the chosen song was “Genie rap” from the movie Aladin. It was a hot & sexy performance.
From Remo Ke Rangeelay Nikitasha,, Shashank and Bhavana were the next to perform for a classical instrument. They performed as Mahisasura, Tiger and Durga respectively and it was yet another flawless performance.
Next came Terrence’s pair who stole the show with a wonderful, romantic and amazing performance. The theme was modern contemporary ballet and Shakti and Kunwar literally set the dance floor on trance dancing to the tune of “Khuda Jaane”
It was followed by Remo’s team comprising Punit, Naresh and Meena. They did a lyrical hip hop for a song from Kaminey.
Pervez and Ameeth did an entertaining, hilarious performance for the song “Aal Izz well” and did their master Terrence proud.
Last to perform today was Geeta’s Dharmesh, Binny and Altaf. They did a Bollywood freestyle dance for the song “daud” imitating the three masters.
Mithun’s performance of the day was Shakti and Kunwar and they happen to be my choice of the day too.

Tomorrow we have eliminations. Let’s see who takes a bow out in the first elimination round. Watch this space.
January 9
So we have arrived at the first elimination of the show.
Each master has to nominate one boy and one girl from their respective team whom they feel gave the weakest performance compared to their other teammates in yesterday’s round. Those six nominated contestants will perform and Mithun da will eliminate one boy and a girl today based on the performance.
so the nominated contestants are:
Remo’s team: Naresh, Meenu
Terrence team: Vandana, Ameeth
Geeta team: Kishore, Shruti
Eliminated contestants: Shruti is eliminated. Ameeth and Kishore are tied in the elimination points. so Mithun da has decided that they will pefrom for a 90 second act and from that short performance one of them will be eliminated next week.

This is the only reality show which is real and i love this programme. Judges dont create tamasha for trps n they select only the deserving candidates. Its only talent which matters in this show. Am sure elimination will be heartbreaking.
Ya elimination is really going to be heartbreaking… but then this intensity is what makes this show gr8!
I didnt watch it but happy to know that there is one show where audience and judge think the same.
It is a real good show and unlike many other reality shows there is a sane judgement displayed both by audience and judge in this show..
