newyear thumb Goodbye 2009 and Welcome 2010

Dear Readers, Co-Authors and Fellow Bloggers,

Wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. Not just 2009 bid us goodbye but also a decade, so lets also welcome the new decade and hope for peace to prosper in world unlike the turbulent decade we just stepped out.

Personally, 2009 was an eventual year. On June 27 of this year GingerChai went live. It was a big shift for me – from a reclusive blogger to a more proactive writer-editor. The dynamic shift gave a wonderful opportunity to interact with new people, new thoughts and new ideas. Importantly, it gifted me new friends. It also saw me associating with some wonderful writers who became co-authors of GingerChai. More importantly, It gave all of us a huge opportunity to interact with our readers and fellow bloggers.

Let me take this opportunity to thank Mani Padma, Sir Pumpkin, Ambi, Radha Chandran, Usha Amudhan. Thank you mates to enrich GingerChai with your wonderful thoughts tranformed to bytes. Special thanks to Mani Padma who not just restricted herself to author role but was also the brain behind many of the features of GingerChai. She duly deserves to be the co-editor of GingerChai and she is. Together we have dreamt a bigger roadmap for GingerChai and we shall deliver it this year. Sir Pumpkin and Radha Chandran brought a different flavor to GingerChai with their writing. While Sir Pumpkin pitched in with varied flavours, Radha Chandran stirred a lots of interaction through her spiritual thoughts. One of the best thing to happen out of the healthy discussion that happened here was Ambi. His “punches” in the comment section are quiet popular as much as his well thought, well researched, meaningful writings on “Ancient Wisdom, Modern relevance”. Usha Amudhan, our “Alice in Gingerland” delighted us with her thoughts. Oh, wondering why I mentioned “Alice in Gingerland” ? Well, you will know it on Jan 2. We are releasing our first in-house production “Alice in GingerLand”. Check our new release  tomorrow. Thanks to Chetan and DS for their wonderful book reviews. Thank you all my co-buddies ! It’s a great pleasure to be associated with all of you.

Did you say I forget to mention one person in the author list? Divya Sharma? How can I forget my co-author who is also the co-author of my life. Without her I won’t be here at peace running GingerChai. A big hugs to her and Thanks a lot dear! And ya, I would like her to write more. Hope to see her exhaust more bandwidth of GingerChai this year.

A BIG THANKS to all Readers of GingerChai. All those who took time to leave comments and make the website more active and all those who read in silence. Thanks a ton. Thanks to all fellow bloggers who visit, encourage, interact and become part of our blogosphere. Thanks to each and everyone of you.

For 2010 I have a roadmap for GingerChai. Along with Mani, I have worked on the overall plans for this year. Believe me, It is going to be a promising, interesting and enriching for everyone. I am not going to delve into the details but let me give you few insights.

  • Contests: We will be having a series of contests. “Finish the Story contest” will be announced this January.
  • We aim to update the site with minimum one new topic a day.
  • Also, I would like to stick to a schedule of having an update at 8’o clock in the morning (Indian Standard Time)
  • By Mid of this year, GingerChai will have a complete revamp in the looks and features.

Ofcourse for some reasons, I cannot elaborate much further but I promise a bouquet of vibrant activities this year along with wonderful content.

Wish you again, A wonderful year ahead. Take care!

 Goodbye 2009 and Welcome 2010

Seriously guys there were three great experiences for me in the last year- 1/ snowfall.2/ blogging and last but not at all the least – Ginger Chai. Ginger chai gave me a creative outlet which really balanced out my life. I met fine intellectuals, honest citizens who really care, for the country, great appreciator of art and culture…It was such an amazing experience I felt I literally stepped into a magical world ( no I am not going to pitch for Alice in Gingerland. Rajan does that better. And anyways I know you are going to come back for it).I met my New friends like Rajan, Divya, Pramathesh, Shilpa and Usha here. Came to know quite a lot of interesting and cutely eccentric people, but they were brilliant in their own way. So readers and co bloggers I would just like to thank for your encouragement and Wish you all have a great new year. I promise Ginger Chai will try to contribute a fine percentage in making your new year great throughout. A happy new year to you my dear friends and dear eccentric and cute co authors -Aneet and Ambi.Radha ji wish you a very happy new year too and hope to see more of your articles. Thanks Chetan, The mysterious DS for your great reviews. Wish you a great year ahead…. And keep in touch with GC
