London dreams is a story about friendship, ego and a musical dream.

Arjun (Ajay Devgan) has a one focused dream and aim since childhood that is to become a music star and play in Wembley stadium. His childhood friend is Manu (Salman Khan) who is a son of a bandmaster. Arjun’s family is against his music pursuit. His father dies when he was young and his uncle takes him to London. He runs away from his uncle once he lands up in London since he is also against his love for music. He becomes a street musician saves money and joins a music school. He grows to be a musician. He does a performance in a public square to catch the attention of a music producer and manages to get an audition. He is joined by two more youths and they perform and wins the nod of the producer and London Dreams the Indian rock band is formed. Back in India, Manu grows up to be a carefree lover boy in his native chased by local creditors. Arjun takes Manu to London and makes him part of the London Dreams band. London dreams makes a three city European tour and unintentionally Manu steals the show and the accolades of the fan support. The female member of the band, Priya also falls in love with Manu. Arjun also silently loves her but refrains from proposing her till his aim of Wembley performance materializes. So Arjun finds himself loosing Priya and also Manu taking all the attention. So he schemes with another member of the band and turns Manu into a drug addict and also keeps him away from the Wembley performance. But the fans demands Manu’s performance and Arjun looses him temper and discloses his vented anger. The band falls apart. Manu returns to India. In climax ofcourse on predictable line, Arjun changes his heart thanks to his uncle (played by Om Puri) and returns to patch up with Manu and the band is born again.

Now lets come to the review of the movie. London Dream is a dream wasted. The first half is dull and makes you yawn. The second half is little better but nothing to rave about. Ajay Devgan has a serious look throughout the movie and Salman Khan has a light playful role. The director has failed to bring an intensity to the movie. Though its a musical movie, the movie by Shankar Ehsaan Loy fails to impress. Its mediocre and noisy.

Ginger Verdict: London dream a wasted dream.
