Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • Rice
  • Channa dal
  • Urad dal
  • Onion
  • Curry leaves
  • Green chilly
  • Red chilly powder
  • Salt
  • Asafetida

Step 1: Take Rice, Channa dal and Urad dal in the ratio of 3:2:1 (If you want dosa to be crispy, add urad dal a little lesser than 1 ratio)

Step 2: Soak them in water separately for at least 5 hours.

Step 3: Grind the soaked ingredients separately. Smoothly grind the rice and urad dal. Grind the channa dal little coarsely.

Step 4: Mix the grinded ingredients.

Step 5: Chop onions, curry leaves and green chilly finely.

Step 6: Add the chopped ingredients into the batter and mix well.

Step 7: Add red chilly powder and salt as per taste. Also add little asafetida powder for flavor.

Might you be having any recipes for Dosa which don’t involve grinding?! You know… something really instant that can use powders (Rice/Wheat/Corn etc…Wink?

I know, Aneet these are the days of Instant ready-to-make stuff….Big Smile))

I love dosas and will definitely try it out and tell MJ …quite similar to pesarattu [the Andhra dosa, what I call green dosa (moong dal is used)]
