Bhudeb lost everything in the floods.

Nobody gave him anything anymore – neither money nor work.

In desperation he decided to steal. He saw a man parting away slightly from his bag. He snatched it and ran.

The bag exploded. Bhudeb will never have to beg, borrow or steal again.

I liked this story, i think it resembles the style of stories from ‘Malgudi Days’, where sometimes man’s helplessness is highlighted or good fate…..

This is one of the best 55 word fiction story that I have come across lately. It is remarkable how so few words can convey an array of emotions and thoughts, great one

Hey Tikuli! Thanks for digging this out and liking it. Yes, this one is my favourite too. It was my first attempt at 55 fiction following which I wrote a few more, but honestly speaking I haven’t been able to match this both in sincerety and simplicity
