Thanks to the hype generated in media , unfortunate deaths been reported from various cities caused by swine flu virus (H1N1 virus) and panicky people moving out in masks , my movements have been restricted by my family . For some personal reasons, I cannot take chance with flu at this point of time. So sorry to say that I would not be covering movie reviews till the situation is in control.
I was eagerly waiting to write reviews of “Kaminey”, “Sikander” and “Shadow”.
Anyways I am glad “Kaminey” turned out to be a blockbuster as well as a critically acclaimed movie. Good to know such movies coming out from Bollywood factory. When I saw the promos months back, I had a gut feeling that this movie is going to be yet another turning point for Shahid Kapoor like what Jab We Met did to his career earlier. The multi talented director and music director Vishal Bhardwaj has filmed a blockbuster magic and the song “Dhan Te Nan” is the chant of the nation.

Hope no swine will stop me writing the review that time.
The other two movies I am skipping out this season “Sikander” and “Shadow” generated interest in me for varied reasons – Sikander for the Kashmir plot and Shadow for the real person who played the reel hero in the movie. Naseer Khan the leading man of the movie is blind in real life. He has performed the stunt on his own. So I wanted to watch the movie for this man’s spirit and never-say-die attitude inspite of his handicap.
Anyways, I wish and hope the swine flu scenario normalizes soon, till then a temporary hold on reviews.
