India is a land of celebration . Being a melting pot of various cultures , communities , religion, languages , regional variations we have festivals throughout the year.
The next season of festival is just around .I will post an exclusive post on each festivals as and when they arrive .

Raksha Bandhan – August 5 , 2009 Wednesday.
The celebration of the bond between brothers and sisters.
Sri Krishna Janmashtami – August 14 , 2009 Friday.
One of my favorite festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.
Independence day – August 15 , 2009 Saturday.
Its equally important day for me as other religious celebration. The celebration of our freedom.
Ganesh Chaturthi – August 23 , 2009 Sunday.
The festival seeking the blessing of Lord Ganesh , the most creatively expressive God in my viewpoint. Will post an article soon on this artist’s favorite God.
Onam – September 2 , 2009 Wednesday.
The major festival of Malayali Hindus.
My native being on the border of Kerala state , we too celebrate the festival.
Navaratri – September 19 , 2009 Saturday.
The nine day festival begins.

My better half being a north India , I have a new addition to the festival list in our home !

Again thanks to my better half , this south Indian is introduced to the north Indian celebration !
Guru Nanak Jayanthi – November 2 , 2009 Monday.
The birthday of Guru Nanak , the founder of Sikhism.
Well the list ends here for me. Of course , there are Ramzan , Christmas and also some festivals unique to certain parts of the country.
Let the festive season brings smile , joy , wellness and goodness in mind , thoughts and well being of everyone !

It looks like you were in hurry to finish this article.
You have just mentioned the date and name of the festival and without clubbing or proper paragraph.
Also at least you could have written 2-3 lines about each giving very brief introduction as what it is.
Or may be the formatting in my explorer is not good.
Please dont mind. I wanted to bring your notice to it as I have high expections from you.
Also after you changed the site to give it current look, the format and website attactiveness has taken a dip.
Looks like only 50% of the page width you are able to utilize. Rest is wasted.

Your criticism are most welcome . Infact i would like my readers to point certain drawbacks in the website like you do , it helps in the positive evolvment of the site
I have changed the resolution of the size and also some other changes in the number of articles appearing in the home page as well as their length. Tell me how it looks now .
about the article . I have jus mentioned a line about each festival coz as and when the function approaches , i will be posting an exclusive post on it .
