The first phase of The Great Indian Election kick started today .
Today’s battle will decide the fate of key contestants : Lalu Prasad Yadav , Murli Manohar Joshi , Yashwant Singh , Renuka Chowdhary , Shashi Tharoor , Praful Patel , K Chandresekar Rao and S Jaipal Reddy.
The first phase included the naxal infected areas and predictably there were naxal attacks on few pockets that sadly took away 17 lives.
According to news agencies Polling was reportedly lower when compared to the previous elections.

On the day the real battle started and the voters had their ink on their hand as a mark of casting votes , BJP’s latest poster boy Varun Gandhi was released from jail by Supreme court. Mr.Gandhi , Mind your language please !
