So the auditions are over. The show gets into more serious rounds. This week its the theater round. All the 100 odd contestants were in mumbai . Nervous moments and accomodated in hotel rooms. In the first day , they were teamed up in 2s n 3s for singing. So we were showed the fun and practice preparations of the contestants. So the first theater round started. The highlight of the first round was Bhanu Pratap Singh. He had participated in the previous indian idols and had crossed each time the audtion level but only to falter in the theater round. The passion in him never bogged him down . This time too he is participating in the show. His voice seems good. He sang with two girls to make a trio team . There was a great emotional drama when Anu malik took time to reveal his result. Finally , when he announced that he is through to the next round , Bhanu wept and wept … This would be part of the kodak moments of this year’s Indian Idol. 100 contestants were trimmed to 50. The next day was solo theater round and from here the number will be trimmed further to 30. This year’s Indian Idol seems to have got mostly good voices and am sure it is going to be tougher and tougher for the contestants as the rounds progress. So finally the end of second day theater round we have 30 contestants. The one’s i feel have a long journey ahead are Mohit , Bhanu , Sonakshi ( the one always carrying a teddy as a lucky mascot) Ananya mishra , Rajdeep , Ali Hussein , a guy from kerala cant remember the name though , and few more girls . May be by next week , i will get to know the names better.
Oh forgot to add , Hussein is back as host.
Next week will be the piano rounds and voting is also going to start soon . Will update on it later.
