My wife and me were invited for a dinner in Aangan restaurant. Aangan restaurant is in Ramana shree chambers , Lady curzon road , off Cubbon road , Bangalore.  Take a right past bowring hospital , towards Cubbon road and in the right side you can find it. Well , i gave this much description coz we took a while to find it out . So if any of you guys plan to make a visit there , it can make things bit easy .

Well , we wer some 15 people together. Aangan restaurant is in the first floor. Its not so big place. Bit crowded . At one end they have the buffet spreads. They have buffet for lunch and dinner. Though we opted for menu . The food is basically punjabi cuisine. The ambience is nothing much to talk about . No frills. Plain and dull. We took time to decide on the food. Like musical chairs , we were passing on the menu to each other to choose.

Well , the restaurant has both veg and non-veg but most of us being vegetarians , we decided to stick to the green portion of the menu. So we started with soups and starters. We chose sweet corn soup , baby corn munchurian and chilly paneer along with masala papad for starters. Sweet corn soup was a big let down. If i had a chance to meet the chef , i would have adviced him to quit making sweet corn soup and use knorr soup mixture instead. Baby corn munchurian was good . Chilly paneer had big chunks of good paneer and it was ok too. Masala papad was so so .

Next for main course , we ordered butter kulchas , methi alu paneer , dal makhani , Alu mutter . Butter kulcha was good. I wont rate it too high but good. Methi alu paneer was average. Dal makhani was good . Alu mutter was spicy but taste was below average. Its my blog and my review so i can even use the word bad for it . Dal makhani was good.

We ended up the dinner with ice creams and rasmalai.

Parting shot : Well , personally i didnt find the restaurant good enough for a second visit but that is only my opinion . My host seems to have visited the restaurant a couple of times . And looking around the tables , i find families in drove . So it does seem to find favour with some people but for me , its average.
