While driving yesterday a billboard caught my attention . The words i read gave a big grin .
” BANGALORE HAS THE IDEAL ROADS FOR …..
RAINWATER HARVESTING !!! “
Those who been to bangalore or lived in bangalore last 5 years or living now in bangalore can vouch for the authenticity of the statement ! Believe me , its not overrated !
You have to be in bangalore to “feel the experience” . I think its high time we bangaloreans demand insurance companies for special “bangalore road medi care policies ” . The bumpy roads are the best dirt race practice grounds ! Government should declare our city roads as dirt race course !
I strongly feel there should be a method in all madneess . So thinking about it , i feel its all a grand government policies for the minimum labour gurantee programme . First you provide labour by laying roads . Soon we make them dig the newly laid roads through different civic agencies like water supply , sewage board , electricity board , telephone departments etc etc . Then make sure the dugged up roads are not laid for months to come . So that the shock absorbers and tyres and other mechanical parts of the automobiles wears off easily and there by making sure millions of people working in automobile industry are not laid off and not to forget the hospital ”industries” (hospitals are money spinning business this days ryt ) and pharma industries . Then provide labour again to people by making them lay the roads . Make sure the contractors dont lay the road strong . One mild rain , the roads should crumble. Contractors will be happy to oblige , after all they also have responsibility to provide labour to people.
Talk about social responsibilities !!!! We bangaloreans really think innovative and far fetched , arent we ?!

The recent rainwater harvesting (RWH) rules are foolhardy to say the least. It should have been made compulsory for new builings only. Existing buildings will have to do costly retrofitting to implement RWH. The buildings will look ugly with pipes running all over. Further there is every chance that the building foundation and compound walls will be weakened. The entire scheme has been proposed by some quacks with half knowledge and without a thorough study – so typical of India and Bangalore. If they are so keen on implementing RWH why do they not dig the pits along the road sides and give connections to the houses from that?

How about we the people ask the government (which is by, for and of the people) to compulsorily to do their work? which they are supposedly their job and their supposedly livelihood?
If they done any iota of work in any department this would not be required, lakhs of litres is being stolen and wasted on the streets, first these retards should keep a check on them and then ask the public through a discussion to frame rules on rwh idea.
If every initiative is put forward to the people, what is the government for? for eating our own money by harassing us?
Shameless, really, to live in this toxic environment of retards!
