The Red brigades should be happy about the way Uncle Sam is managing its economy. Perfect Red sticker to George Bush , he is being a darling of welfare measures that will make any communist adore him .
- More than 700 billion $ bail out plans for the investment banks and insurance companies which where grossly mismanaged by supposedly cream of managerial great minds !
- No other country in this world perhaps spend like US in Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid . It is truly a welfare state that should bring smiles to Red commrades. ( the budget for which is under strain now for mounting fiscal debts )
What went wrong ? The supposedly champion of free capitalism is now clueless and is turning to be a champion of socialism ( pun intented without having to say , still )
The root cause of all this can be summarised by Buddha’s word : Desire is the root cause of all miseries. Desire in a controlled manner is healthy but when it is uncontrolled it leads to greed . American government , American companies and American public to large extend knowingly or unknowlingly where trapped by the maya of greed . Greed for success , Greed for pompous life style , Greed for power , Greed for world domination . All this greed leads to the meltdown after giving a high for a while.
History has proved that not only an individual but even a system , governance , country cannot be left uncontrolled nor over controlled.
The collapse of USSR is partly cause of over controlled policies . The melt down of US economy is example of uncontrolled policies. Same as an individual cannot be over controlled or let uncontrolled , even a Government or any institution cannot be . There should be a middle path a moral discipline for a limited control for an individual and institution to maintain the sanity .
If the world maintains tends to choose the middle path it will be a better place over all.
But ……………………………………………. it shall always be a distant dream to achieve it practically. So we have to live with the cycle of raisings and collapses story.
We read history but never learn from history , ryt ? Sadly yes.
